Radio and Avionics

The museum has a collection of war time military and civilian radio, telephone, radar and navigation equipment. Much of this in working and demonstrable condition with more items being acquired and restored regularly.

New Acquisition – 1939 German domestic radio

Recently received at the museum is a fantastic 1939 Sachsenwerk 403WK “Olympia” domestic broadcast receiver.

Other than a few woodworm holes and a torn loudspeaker cloth, the cabinet looks good. The chassis is corroded, rusty, dusty but the electronics appear sound
